CHRIST FOR YOUTH INTERNATIONAL

Manage Your Time Well

“So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days.”

‭‭Ephesians‬ ‭5:15-16‬ [NLT]

For our own good, as eternal beings, God has inscribed in His word the need for us to make the most of the life we have here on earth. There is a purpose for which God made the earth the dwelling place for man/woman before transitioning into eternity.

The return of Christ should never sound cliché to us. God doesn’t go back on His word. His return should not incite fear in us, but neither should we take that thought passively. God has always been interested in our well-being. We who have come to know and experience this truth must be relentless in proclaiming the saving power of Christ.

We are to be good stewards of the time given us. Not only that, but we must always consider the time we have as a gift from God to be able to make good use of it. We must strive to be productive in every aspect of our lives. Our lives must entirely be lived for the benefit of others to God’s glory.

Making the best out of time entails prioritising what’s necessary. Seeking first God’s kingdom in every aspect of our lives (personal, relational, professional, etc.), knowing how to consider the wellbeing of others when spending our resources. This also includes knowing what to say yes or no to. We must be intentional to live life passionately and not passively, depending solely on the Holy Spirit.

May we always be found faithful with the time God has given us.

Heavenly Father, make my heart wise to understand the urgency of the time and season in which I live. Help me to live with your purpose for my life always in sight, that I may be diligent and prudent in all I do. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
